Missions

Since the year 2006, Creative Freedom owner, Michele Keen, has been traveling to Uganda, specifically to the northern town of Gulu. Each trip is different and brings with it new levels of understanding, growth, and impact. It's always interesting how when we reach out to help others, we find in the end that we gain so much more than we give. That's the beauty of giving. When we give, we receive. It is this insight and understanding that Michele brings to Creative Freedom that we as a team use to better shape our vision and serve our clients.

Trips to Uganda are made as the doors open. Strong connections have been established with the people there resulting in lasting purpose and feasibility of the tasks at hand. To date, our support has primarily consisted of working with local churches, encouraging the people in their purposes and destinies through understanding their own identities and faith. Messages of unity, forgiveness and reconciliation are key here as there is much pain the people have endured. But there is a great hope in them, too, and that is what draws us to them.

Northern Uganda is at a very pivotal point right now. The 23-year war is currently at a cease fire and many refugees are leaving the camps in search of beginning their lives. They're hungry for life and purpose, to live in the freedom that's been taken from them for so long. Imagine, in this region there is a whole generation of children who have never known peace. This is a time for change and it is an honor to take part in it any way that we can.
